What are Best of Utah Points?
Best of Utah Points are points that you earn by checking in at Best of Utah events and Partner locations, and otherwise participating in the Best of Utah community.
What can I use Best of Utah Points for?
In addition to the natural benefits of earning Best of Utah points (such as discovering deals at your favorite participating Partner businesses), other benefits include:
- Exchange points with other members in return for whatever you want...as long as it's legal!
- Earn badges for completing specific groups of actions.
- Earn bragging rights by getting on our weekly and monthly leader boards.
- Coming soon: Redeem them for Best of Utah merchandise.
- Coming soon: Redeem them for discounts and other benefits at Partner Businesses.
How do I get started with Best of Utah Points?
The first steps (details for each can be found below below) are:
- If you have an Android device, install the Best of Utah app. (iPhone users, see below.)
- Sign in or create an account.
- Accept the Best of Utah Points program's Terms of Participation.
- To earn points faster, be sure to upgrade your Best of Utah membership.
Once you've completed those steps, you can start earning Best of Utah Points.
How can I earn Best of Utah Points?
If you haven't already, complete the steps listed above under "How do I get started with Best of Utah Points?"
Then, use the app or website (for iOS users) to:
- Check in at a Best of Utah Partner location.
- Attend an Best of Utah event.
- Every Tuesday is Triple Points Tuesday!
How do I install the app?
Download the Best of Utah app from the Google Play store. If you have an iPhone, you can use this website in Safari or another web browser instead. (Android users can use the website too, but the app will work better for you and use less mobile data.) We will release an iOS version of the app in the future.
How do I sign in or create an account?
In the app
If you already have an account on Best-of-Utah.com, tap the lock icon at the bottom of the app to sign in. If you don't know your password, you can use the "Forgot Password" link on the login screen to have a new one emailed to you.
If you don't have an account yet, tap the "Create Account" icon in the lower right corner of the app to go to the registration page. (If the registration form tells you that you already have an account, go to the log in screen and tap "Forgot Password" to have a password emailed to you.)
On the website
If you're not already an Best of Utah member, create a free account. (If you receive email from us, you probably already have an account. Click here to get your password.)
If you already have an account, you'll be prompted to sign in as soon as you attempt to do anything that requires you to be signed in. Or you can sign in here.
How do I accept the Terms of Participation?
In the app
If you are not already on the "Earn Best of Utah Points" screen, tap the "E" icon in the lower left corner of the app. Then tap "Best of Utah Points Terms of Participation" to review the program's terms. The terms will be displayed in a web browser. You may agree to the terms on that page if you wish, which will require signing into the website. Or you may return to the app and accept the terms there.
On the website
Go to the Best of Utah Points Terms of Participation page, review the terms, and click the checkbox to accept. If you are not already signed in, you will be prompted to sign in when you click the checkbox.
How do I check in at a Best of Utah Partner, or an event?
In the app
Tap the pin icon at the top of the app to go to the check in screen. Then continue with the steps below.
To view a map of Best of Utah Partners near you, tap the pin and map icon near the top of the screen.
On the website
Checking in using the website only works on a mobile device, since the device camera is needed to scan a QR code.
Click "Check In" in the submenu above to go to the check in screen. Then continue with the steps below.
To view a map of Best of Utah Partners near you, click "Best of Utah Partners" in the submenu above.
In either the app or the website
To check in for Best of Utah Points, find the Best of Utah Points QR code at the location where you are checking in. It will be on a card that looks like this:
Then, tap the "Scan" button on the check in screen, and use your phone's camera to scan the QR code.
How can I become a Best of Utah Partner Business?
Businesses Members and Sponsors of Best of Utah with physical business locations that are not located in a residence may become Partner businesses at no charge.
Best of Utah Partner Businesses benefit by joining our network, bringing you more foot traffic and awareness amongst participants in the Best of Utah Points program.
